Celebrating Excellence & Achievement in Education!

There are 6 categories to choose from – recognising clients, consultants, contractors, architects, projects and innovation. All will be hotly contested and highly prized by the winners who will be celebrated at the Awards Dinner on 27 September 2022.

To find out more about each award and to decide which categories to enter, click on the images below. Please note that all categories are free of charge to enter and you can enter as many as you wish.

The deadline for entries is Friday 29 April 2022.

The qualifying period for all projects is June 2020 – December 2021.

Awards Categories

Inspiring Learning Spaces

Criteria: This award recognises innovation in the creation of inspiring spaces across learning stages, in existing and new build spaces, that help support and promote new and different ways of learning/teaching and can be easily replicated across the learning estate.  Please explain the evidence for the intervention and how the space is making a positive impact.

Pupil/Student Experience

Criteria: This award recognises a learning establishment which has undertaken a buildings/facilities investment that significantly improves the pupils/students’ learning and social experience and positively enhances their health and wellbeing. Please explain clearly how users were involved in shaping key decisions, what difference was made and include before and after photographs. Please also include statements from the client and designer.

Inclusive Learning Spaces for All

Criteria: This award recognises the team that has successfully delivered an inclusive learning space for all. Entries must clearly state the team involved and need to include at least 1 testimonial from a pupil/student, teacher, parent or family member.

Project of the Year – Primary Education & Post Primary Education

Criteria: This award recognises the project team that has successfully delivered either a primary education or post primary education school new build or refurbishment project. Please describe how the project has performed in terms of briefing, construction and performance to meet the academic objectives. Entries must clearly state who the client was, the architect(s) and contractor(s) involved and the wider project team.

Project of the Year – Further Education and Training & Higher Education

Criteria: This award recognises the project team that has successfully delivered either a further education and training or higher education new build or refurbishment project. Please describe how the project has performed in terms of briefing, construction and performance to meet the academic objectives. Entries must clearly state who the client was, the architect(s) and contractor(s) involved and the wider project team.

Innovation in Delivering a Sustainable Education Environment

Criteria: This award recognises innovation that has helped to deliver a sustainable education environment that promotes sustainable practises and behaviours by all users. This could be in relation to a new build facility or an adaptation.
