Biography

Aoibheann Ní Mhearáin, is a Technical Advisor with the HEA’s Capital Programmes Unit, which works as an agent under the aegis of DFHERIS funding Higher Education Capital Programmes. The role of Technical Advisor is engaged with both the development and implementation of funding programmes and the management of funded projects and encompasses the application of national policies in capital funding programmes, including those of Climate Action. Aoibheann is a qualified architect and, prior to joining the HEA in 2021, has worked as an architect in private practice and as an academic, teaching in the School of Architecture UCD, where her research focused on the history architecture in Ireland in 20^th century, with a special focus on Educational Buildings.
