Ger is an architect with over twenty years’ experience, the first eleven of which were spent working in the private sector on a wide variety of project types and scales. He was a key member of the design team that won and subsequently delivered the award winning Masterplan for the new Grangegorman Urban Quarter in 2007/08. He then went to work for the Grangegorman Development Agency (GDA) to help implement the Masterplan Vision, initially concentrating on developing a replacement mental health facility for the HSE on the site, and the adoption of the formal Strategic Plan for the new Urban Quarter. He has since fulfilled several different senior roles within the GDA, most recently being appointed to his current position as Chief Executive Officer in July 2016 where he is responsible for delivering one of the most significant and ambitious education projects in Dublin City’s history.
