Biography
Paul Hogan is the Chief Planning Adviser at the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, where he has led the team responsible for providing professional planning advice on national, regional and urban planning since 2020.
Paul has 30 years planning experience, including as Project Manager for the National Planning Framework (NPF). He was a Senior Planner at South Dublin County Council for more than 10 years to 2015, where he led a range of plans, projects and initiatives, including the Adamstown Strategic Development Zone Planning Scheme. He also initiated the Design Manual for Urban Roads and Streets (DMURS) and oversaw a school sites delivery programme, as multi-disciplinary collaborations between central and local government.
Paul graduated from UCD in 1992 with a Master of Regional and Urban Planning degree and is a Fellow of the Irish Planning Institute.
