Collette Burns

Collette represents Campus Planning at TUDublin, responsible for all University campus’ including Tallaght, Blanchardstown, Bolton St, Aungier St and the emerging Grangegorman Campus. She worked for 20 years in private practice in Germany, Netherlands, the UK, and as an Associate Director at Henry J Lyons, Dublin. She taught Architecture & Urban Design at TU Dublin/DIT from 2000 to 2016 and remains a mentor and external examiner in the Professional Practice Course here. She is a visiting critic at University College Dublin and a member of a number of Urban Design, Construction and Environmentally Focused Institutions including the RIAI, Academy of Urbanism and AUDE. She adjudicates in numerous national competitions including the Irish Construction Industry Awards, the RIAI Siver Medal for Housing and the Building and Architect of the Year Awards. She has a masters in Urban Design from UCD and an MArch from the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow.
