Martin Hare is Managing Director of McAdam Design with over 40years experience in the built environment. He is a chartered Architect, Project Manager and Director (IoD) and has been Architectural Lead Director for McAdams since 2000. Martin and has helped establish McAdams as one of Northern Ireland's leading design consultancies across a wide range of sectors and has also held key industry positions including President of the RSUA, Chairman of the APM Northern Ireland Branch, Chairperson of the CIC Northern Ireland Region, and RIBA Council Member. He was an external contributor to the Department of Education (NI) Design Handbook for Schools, and in 2013 co-authored its supplementary guidance on cost-effective BREEAM solutions in education. He has worked closely with Queen's University Belfast and Ulster University, delivering innovative, sustainable design solutions across the third-level sector, including the award-winning Ulster University Greater Belfast Development and the recently completed Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre for QUB. He has lectured at both the UU and QUB on Modern Methods of Procurement and has contributed to the Lean Construction Ireland Roundtable discussions.
