Michael Horan is a Registered Architect and the principal of Axo Architects, an award-winning practice founded in 2006 and now with an established portfolio of education buildings, often with integrated special needs challenges, opportunities, and solutions. The practice won the RIAI Irish Architecture Public Choice Award in 2025 and represented Ireland in the Meis van der Rohe EU Prize for Contemporary Architecture for 2026 for their new Benedictine Monastery at Kylemore Abbey.
