Brian Donnellan is Professor of Information Systems at Maynooth University and chairperson of the Creative Campus working group. His research interests include Technology Management, Innovation, and Creativity. He lectures on topics relating to IT-enabled innovation and Technology Management. He has held senior management positions in Maynooth University including Vice President for International Affairs, Vice President for Engagement and Vice President for R&I. He has also been:

• Founding Chairman of the All-Ireland Smart Cities Forum
• Co-Principal Investigator in the Irish Software Research Centre, “LERO” and The Smart Cities Research Centre, “ENABLE” and the Data Governance Research Centre “EMPOWER”.
• Funded Investigator in the Centre for Advanced Manufacturing, “CONFIRM” and the Centre for Future Networks and Communications, “CONNECT”.
• Academic Director of the Innovation Value Institute
• Member of the EUA Innovation Expert Group
• Public Service Research Fellow in DFHERIS

Prior to academia, he spent 19 years working in R&D in the ICT industry.
