Richard is the Estates Manager in Dublin City University. He is responsible for university energy performance, and the strategic development and decarbonisation of energy systems across all college campuses. He is a Chartered Engineer, and holds professional membership with the Energy Institute, UK. Richard holds an Honours Degree in Building Services Engineering from the University of Ulster, an Executive Masters in Business Administration from Dublin City University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Energy from the University of Dublin, Trinity College. He is a Certified Energy Manager, Certified Energy Auditor, Certified Measurement & Verification Professional, Certified Water Steward, and an ISO 50001 Energy Management System Lead Auditor. He has specific interest in Energy Management Strategy, Energy Systems Certification, and the Decarbonisation of Energy Systems within the Built Environment. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Energy Managers Association.
