Ryan works within the Infrastructure Technology team at the Scottish Futures Trust, where he leads key elements of Scotland's national Building Information Management (BIM) programme on behalf of the Scottish Government.

He supports public-sector organisations in adopting digital information management practices aligned with ISO 19650, helping to improve the consistency, efficiency and long-term value of asset information across the lifecycle of public-sector assets.

Ryan has extensive experience in the specification, delivery and operational handover of digital asset information, enabling a more seamless transition from construction into estates and facilities management. He also chairs a national cross-industry working group that has developed a standardised approach to digital asset information management and handover, now being adopted across Scotland's public-sector estate.

He has contributed to several industry publications and international initiatives, including guidance supporting the implementation of ISO 19650 and BuildingSMART International's work on asset information management for healthcare facilities.
